Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer
1999 blazer won"t start did a tuneup need to know wherei can get it fix in houston
Passkey system has been activated. Be sure you are using correct key. Disconnect both PCM fuses (there are two mini fuses labelled PCM A and PCM B I think or PCM 1 and PCM 2 in the underhood power distribution box on driver's side. Take 'em out for a few minutes. 3-5 should do it. But more than one minute for sure. This should reset the computer, and allow you to fire up with the correct key. YOu haven't changed computers, have you? Anyone been under the steering column dash area for alarms, stereos, remotes, or other work??? Probing the wrong circuit under there is a quick way to set off the passkey antitheft lockout.
Let me know if this helps. I'll be glad to do further research for you. I've had to reset many of these on late-model GM cars. We install breathalyzers for DUI convicts, so we've made all the mistakes you can, hopefully. Later, TaterTodd
