I have a 1988 Buick Electra Park Ave the service engine light turns up and turns off quickly I'm not sure if it's an issue with the electrical part of it and when I accelerate it does that and the gauge speed needle drops and goes up fast not sure if it's a gas pump or fuel injection issue feedback will be very helpful

Commonly submerged in the fuel tank. Some require the removal of the bottom rear seat, others need entire tank dropped to access.
If memory serves, you will need to drop the tank to access on the P.Ave.
Save yourself some time and pop off the rear seat just to be sure.

The fuel pump like all pumps on fuel injected cars is in the fuel tank.
