Clutch removel how do i get a clutch out of a bmw316,took some things of the car but dont seem to be able to reach it

You have to remove the exhasut and trnamsission to replace the clutch.

Your description is lacking detail but I guess something is probably missing from the clutch cable, possibly it was a poor quality cable or badly fitted, and consequently the operation of the clutch mechanism is compromised resulting in a small amount of clutch drag.

There are other possible reasons for clutch drag but clearly the cable must be examined first.

The clutch is losing fluid! Could it be the slave cylinder?

It's a common cause for clutch failure on these trucks. Depending on the setup in your truck, it may be a on the pilot shaft type that would require removel of the transmission. You should be able to remove a inspection plug to look inside the bellhousing to see if it's leaking.

they are pressed on and you need a ac clutch removel tool to remove them so you dont damage the clutch . you can buy the tool on ebay or check about 50-89 dollars

is it manul or automatic either way you have to do the following remove prop shaft then unbolt the gearbox from engine then unbolt the gearbox mount and lower via a jack and pull back and the clutch is there in front of you six more bolts and its in your hand refitting is the reverse of removel you will be able to doit on the ground and use good axel stands and jacks

Hi miguel_mitie, the reverse light switch is on the right hand side of the gear box and has a square 2 pin connector, it may also be worth checking the wriring in the rear harness by the boot lid hinges as the wires have been known to break

Fan removel of water pump

You need a clutch fan removal tool which is just a large open end wrench that is thin. Place the wrench on the fan clutch and give it a smack with a hammer to loosen it. It removes counter clockwise. You may have to hit it a couple of times to loosen it.
