Dodge Neon 98 Engine Oil Pressure

1./ On my Dodge Neon, SOHC, 2L/125KKm, during first cold morning (-14degC)engine oil pressure light went ON after 10 min. driving. Return home and left engine to cool. Restarted the engine; Oil pressure was good for 4 to 5 min. then pressure light start flicker (app. 20 sec) and went ON; increasing engine speed to 50% oil pressure light went OFF.
- Engine Oil level is OK,
- Oil is new W5/30.
2./ 2 or 3 days after the weather was warm (6 to 7 degC)and I was driving the car 350 to 400km everything was OK !!??
3./ Now it is cold again (below freezing point, -14C) and I have the same problem with oil pressure.
* Is it possible that engine vapor frost inside engine oil circulation system causing decrease of oil pressure or any idea what is the problem???

Oil light comes on when I first start up in the morning.I'll turn it off and restart the car and the oil light is off.

it could be a sticking oil pressure relieve valve when cold or a weak oil pressure switch when cold. the oil pressure should be checked when first started cold.

Oil light comes on when stopped at a light. Okay when moving. Oil levels are okay. Reving the engine when stops makes it go out.

Its possible the pressure light is faulty, or you really do have low oil pressure. The pressure is higher when the oil is cold than when the engine is warmed up.
You could replace the switch and see what happens, or get the pressure checked with a mechanical gauge in place of the switch.

How do I turn off the oil light indicator for a 2002 dodge neon

You need to find out why the low oil pressure light is on. Either you are low of oil, the oil pump is not working properly, or the oil pressure sending unit is defective. Fix the problem and the light will go out. Do NOT start this engine until you find the cause of this. Low oil pressure will destroy this engine.

Oil pressure light on at idle

Don't delay on this. Take the vehicle in and have the oil pressure sensor checked. It could be just the sensor or it could be something more serious. A drop in oil pressure could lead to catastrophic engine failure.

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
