Question about 2006 Jaguar XJ8
After accidentally leaving the parking lights on overnight, my battery had lost a bit of its power, and when I started the car, the warning lights for "Apply foot and parking brake" came on with rapid beeping. I could live with the lights for a while but there is no way to turn off the beeping, which will drive you crazy. Since I am a long way from my Jaguar dealer, I went to the best Ford mechanic anywhere near and he said he'd be glad to turn the warnings off. Unfortunately he could not find the computer connection! Where is it, please???!
The park brake module is located in the trunk under the spair tire...the low voltage trigured the module to fault...Please disconnect the battery, and recharge it before reinstalling it...wait at least a hour, then reinstall it and crank the car...hold the foot brake down ,then lift the center brake lever at the same time..This will reset the module...it the light doesnt go offf give it a few hours...

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes ,to reset the computers memory, and reconnect.
I have had a few cars with this problem, and its the "gremlins" as I call them, giving you false signals, usually originating when battery is flat.
