Check fuel pump and filter. even thou you may hear it run, they need high pressure. also check if you have spark. they sell little hand held pen looking items that you just put against the wire and it will tell you if you are getting spark.

SOURCE: 2005 chevy silverado won;t start.

i had the same problem, and it turned out the coil pack was moulding inside wich stopped the spark all together, i ended up changing my coil pack and putting on new wires because the ends connected to the coil were very corroded and that cures the not running part just fine

Motor switch has gone out, most likely due to high load on level 5. Replace switch and I suggest lubricating blower motor bearing to help take the strain on the system.

SOURCE: FIRING ORDER FOR 2.6 V6

Chevrolet only used a 2.8 liter engine in that vehicle for that year, here is a diagram for the 2.8 liter engine and I hope that it helps you out.

Are you sure about the engine size?

SOURCE: my 2005 chvey 2500hd diesel truck will not start,

on the back of the engine close to the firewall by the glow plug controller is a high pressure oil switch. if this switch goes out diesel fuel will not reach the injector pump.try pulling the molex and jumping it out with a wire. if it starts. replace the switch. it takes an extra deep socket designed for that switch that can be purchased at any auto supply. good luck!

2003toyota corolla a 1.8 liter i am putting a timming chain in it and on my new cam gear i have 3 marks on it one says intake and strght across one that says exuse other mark is at 90degee from it

Sounds like you got a gear for a V6, They have multiple marks, you line the chains marks up with either the Intake or exhaust mark, and the 3rd mark points at a place on the engine block.

Just use the old gear if you can, they rarely go bad.

Timming chain problems

I don't know what "timming" or "minic" means, but (from context) I'm assuming you think that you are having some kind of a a TIMING chain problem.
The timing chain simply goes around the crank shaft sprocket and around the cam gear, turning the cam shaft. If it is in place, your vehicle will run. If it breaks, the vehicle will not run. If it is loose, your vehicle may run rough, but there will be an obvious rattling noise coming out of the timing chain cover at the front of the engine, as it moves the tensioner aroundr.
That's about it for a timing chain. There is nothing else to it.
Hope that answers your question!
Now if you have an actual SYMPTOM you'd like diagnosed, try again.... and use spell check :)

Lifters/car not starting

Do you have the 2.2 liter Ecotec 4-cylinder engine, the 3.5 liter V6, or the 3.9 liter V6 engine? If you have the 2.2 liter engine, there may be a camshaft/timing chain issue if you skipped a tooth when you put the chain back on the cams. If it's a 3.5 or a 3.9 liter V6, you may have incorrectly installed the push rods back into the engine. 3.5 liter intake push rods are approx 5 3/4" long, while the exhaust push rods are approx 6" long.
The 3.9 liter intake push rods are approx 5.81" long, while the exhaust push rods are approx 6.1" long. If you mix the two lengths up when you put them back in the engine, you're going to have problems.
