When i put it in reverse after driving for awhile, it would not move. After goinig back to drive after about an hour, it worked fine but after moving for about 2 miles, my truck wouldn't go forward or backwards. After waiting for about 15 minutes, it would drive forward again for about a mile and then stop moving again.
Sounds like the pump is going bad inside the transmission.
You could also have a leaking seal when the transmission heats up enough to expand and leak. That or if the electronics controlling the transmission are getting excessive resistance do to a short, that could also cause the problems you are describing.

My vehicle drives foward a little bit but not in reverse, we put transmission fluid in the vehicle and the truck drove foward better than before and still will not reverse

Just like when you have a loss of 4x4 drives, it is a drive sensor and elevator problem. It seems like everyone of the major types of fixes like this are 600.00 at the dearlership,, takes about 2 or 3 hours,, but vehicle will run like new afterward. I dont think this is a do it yourself type of a project.

Hello. If you havent already done so check your transmission fluid with the car ideling. If its not moving it definatly sounds like a transmission problem. The tire should have nothing to do with this unless you put huge mud tires on it without properly adjusting gear ratio. That could possibly fry the transmission, but the difference in size would have to be pretty big compared to the old tires.

the reverse clutch has failed in the transmission, this will require the trans be torn down for repair.
