Question about 2003 Toyota Tundra
Took car to be serviced (oil Change) was told coolant was nearly gone. 2006 avalon xle. no leaks were found . added a gallon. unable to explain why coolant gone.they applied 20 lb presurre still no leaks no curions. never had a problem with the car. now when i turn the fan on, to heat the car it makes a sound like a jet. turn it dn low no sound. turn it higher and it is louder. Why all of a sudden this is happening? what did they do to my car. not happy.
I would remove the fan motor. You may have ingested something from the glove box into the fan motor. This is a known issue, the opening for the heater box is directly behind the glove box, and papers can get sucked into the heater fan. The fan is held on by 3 screws, under the glove box, it is easy to remove.
Regarding the coolant loss, I would suspect that you have a water pump leak. A slow leak is not uncommon, and a pressure test will hold the pressure. I would have the water pump examined.
Hope this helps; a FIxYa rating for my assistance would be greatly appreciated.
