Try the spark plug wires, it sounds like you aren't getting a good spark. The distributor cap could also need cleaning or replaced. - David (you know me :-) )

This is caused in most cases by a defective fuel pressure check valve, when this check valve fails it allows fuel to drain back out of the fuel lined and filter and fuel injector fuel supply rail and then you must purge the air out of the lines and filter before the engine will start and run smoothly, The fuel pressure check valve is part of the electric fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank.

Daewoo Lanos, turns over but will not start.......

You must check for power and ground to the fuel pump ,you will have power for approx. 2 seconds with key first turned to the run position and then you will have constant battery voltage during cranking. You may also want to go to AutoZone .com or and bur online manuel for you Daewoo.the are very reasonable and informative. If you find you have correct voltage supply and ground, and assuming the fuel guage is correct and there is fuel,it is very likely you will be replacing the fuel pump , strainer and filter. Don`t laugh on the fuel guage comment, I have had several vehicle towed in to me for no starts, only to find the guage not reading correctly , and the vehilcle was out of fuel.Good luck I hope this helps.

plugs new?  fuel filter new?  check fuel delivery to a jar.  500ml in ten sec. is good i recon but specs are better from manual, dont burn yourself gas burns quickly. if pump delivers well then the filter needs to be changed or injectors need cleaning. also check air filter and throttle throat for dirt.

hi andrecti
im dave

check to see if your timing belt is broken. there should be an access hole usually a rubber cap that you can remove to see it. if there is no access hole remove the screws of the timing belt cover and open it enough to see the belt without breaking the cover. If the belt looks ok be sure there is enough tension so that it is not skipping over the camshaft pulley.
check your ignition components for dampness or to see if they are faulty (spark plugs, wires and ignition module and coil packs).

Daewoo Lanos, turns over but will not start.......

dave again i just posted you so it is definately fuel related listen to see if the fuel pump turns as described in my last post if it does not you can test the relay by replacing it with a known good relay like the horn if your horn works but your fuel pump does not turn swap em see if the horn works still and if the pump now works. If the pump works and the horn does not reinstal the horn relay in its original position and replace fuel pump relay. do the same with fuel pump fuse as sometimes the fuse looks okay but is not. If you have a test light hook it to ground and make sure both metal tabs on the fuse light the light when the pump is activaed.
