The cost to change this out is very cheap, it takes only a few mins as there are only two bots and an electrical connector but they might charge you min of an hr,the cost of the valve for a typical car is around 50- 80 dollars.
hope this elps

How do you fix an idleing problem on b2300 mazda truck?

What kind of idling problem ? An what year Mazda ? Idle is controlled by the engine computer via a IAC motor , idle air control valve or motor, what ever Mazda calls there set up ! Or if a fairly new vehicle, they use drive by wire or electronic throttle control . With the idle air control set up passages get plugged an don't allow enough air to by pass the throttle plate causing stalling problems . A vacuum leak can cause a ruff unstable idle an stalling also . A dirty throttle plate can cause idle problems as well ! A scan tool ,not a code reader is a very use full tool to check engine data parameters. With the scan tool you can view idle air control counts . To see if the engine computer is actually controlling the idle air control valve . Idle Air Control Valve

Also an engine misfire can cause idle problems , also clogged fuel injectors can as well . A good diagnostic technician would start with hooking up a professional grade scan tool , checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , misfire data , engine sensor data , IAC counts ! Just started idling rough, sometimes stalling

Shot in the dark here without knowing the vehicle but it could be an Idle Air Control valve starting to fail. An IAC (idle air control) motor is designed to adjust the engine idle RPM speed by opening and closing an air bypass passage inside the throttle body. The cars computer or PCM (powertrain control module) receives information from various sensors and will output signals to adjust the idle air control motor in or out to adjust engine idle speed by controlling engine idle air. An idle air control motor can fail one of two ways, either the motor short circuits and stops working or the motor will develop high resistance and cause the idle air control motor to react slowly, either failure can cause the engine to stall at idle. When a trouble code scan is performed it sometimes won't always detect a failed or weak idle air control motor. To check the idle air control motor remove the unit, with the wires connected turn the key to the "on" position without starting the engine, the idle air control should move in or out. If the idle air control motor does nothing it has probably failed, replace it with a new unit and recheck system. Note: while the idle air control motor is removed clean (use aerosol carburetor cleaner) the passages the idle air control uses to control idle air speed, also inspect the idle air control for a build-up on the seating (pointed) end and clean as necessary.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Getz which is idling very fast, I have been told that it needs motor which controls the idling speed and the total cost in Australia will be about. $420.00, this seems a lot to fix...

You can use a throttle body cleaning that might help, thoses control motor has a jack screw and it time it wears out and can no longer operate try using a throttle body cleaner they do work some times

How do I fix a code p1506 for a ford suv

The code P1506 is for an idle overspeed. This is most likely caused by a sticking idle air control motor loctae don the throttle. When the problems with the high idle happens disconnect the idle air control motor and see if there is little or no change as this would be a sticking motor.

2002 doge neon r/t revs itself when i start it

The most common source of that problem is a sticking idle control motor. As a first step, purchase a new gasket and/or O-ring for the idle control motor. Remove the motor and clean it out using aerosol carburetor cleaner. If the idle control motor was sticking, that should cure it. It the fix only lasts temporarily, you need to replace the idle control motor. This is a common problem with vehicles with over 80,000 miles on them.

I have a 89 bronco with efi that high edle when warm how do i fix this problem

Either your idle air control motor is sticking open OR you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the engine. First try removing the idle air control motor and cleaning it with aerosol carburetor cleaner. Reinstall it using a new gasket. See if that fixes it. It may fix it or the fix may only last a few days or a week. If the fix lasts a short time, you need a new control motor ($100) If a new idle control motor does not fix it, then you have to search for a vacuum leak (leaking rubber hose, leaking fuel pressure regulator, leaking power brake booster, etc) Charlie

Hyundai lantra

The baseline idle is set too high.  Meaning someone has screwed the idle screw out too far.  Probably because the Idle Speed Control Motor is dead.  Same thing happened to me on the same model car. Replacing the ISC Motor is extremely easy to do, a replacement cost me $135AU.
