My guess its the switch does it have a dimer to raise and lower light level? mess with it roll the switch see if it comes on accidently and if it does start with that switch.. auto supply probably not to expensive good, luck

Yes the key needs to be reprogramed to the car. Unfortunately that will have to be done by the dealer. Make sure that you have plenty of proof that you are the owner. They will reprogram it but you will not take posession of the car until you prove it is yours.

Turn key to run position and leave it there for about 10 mins.......or until security light goes out.
Car should start then.
Also......try another key.....the reader in the lock cylinder may like it better.

"Shorted" wires ALWAYS cause blown fuses or burned fusable links. There may also be damage to your onboard computer. I would recommend having the car towed to a reputable shop that can diagnose and/or repair your electrical system.

Just because you charged the battery doesn't mean it held a charge or is capable of starting the car. To me it sounds like a dead battery or a bad cable. do you have a meter to check the voltage of the battery, if it is below 12 volt you are going to have trouble starting the car. The clicking is a sign of a weak battery or bad starter selenoid, no lights tell me a dead battery or like I said bad cable. Check all the cables from the battery to the starter and ground, look for looseness or corrosion.
