i don't have PDC on my BMW, but was always curious if you placed a piece of tape on all of the sensors, then turned the car on, would it sense it as an object being that close when placed in reverse or just ignore it as all of the sensors were reading the same. its a quick try to see if this works or not.

i do know that on my X5 that when you purchase the trailer hitch, it comes with a module that gets plugged into the circuitry which disables the PDC whenever a trailer is connected. not sure if BMW makes a trailer kit for this 5 series or not, but would imagine if they did, then a similar module is included.

I have a 2008 Ford fusion and I need to know what wire go to the Iat sensor

Trying to "soup-up" your tiny little 4-banger by by-passing the IAT? My recommendations are DON'T DO IT! You are opening a can of worms that you may not be able to afford in the not-so-distant future.

However, who am I to tell you how to waste your money?

The IAT signal input to the PCM is Pin #1 VIOLET/GREY at the MAF/IAT sensor connector.

2002 yukon parking assist quit working

{: ) I wonder what quit do you mean? But anyway, there are certain conditions that can disable your park assist temporarily, like the park brakes on, park assist switch disable on, an object is attached to the rear of the vehicle, dirty sensors, overspeed, speed sensors malfunction and more.
If ever one of your sensors are not working, or maybe a module or wiring problem, then it can permanently disable the park assist system, unless the problem is quickly addressed.
The most practical and fast way of tracing the cause is to use a scan tool. It will read all the codes and datas that are relevant to the problem, it can also tell which of the four sensors are at fault, thereby reducing the time of guessing.
For the moment, you can check the VEH B/U fuse 10amp at the underhood fuseblock, and IGN 1 fuse 10amps at the IP fuseblock. Goodluck.

The park assist service light comes on when i start the vehicle. i do not have an owners manual to reference.

{: ) The driver information center (DIC) displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when the object alarm module detects a malfunction in the parking assist system and the system is disabled. The DIC also displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when a loss of communication occurs with the object alarm module. Usually this is caused by faulty components or wirings. Better visit your dealer if still under warranty, for one park assist sensor only costs too much. If your bumper had been knocked off or had previous repairs outside the dealership, that's another thing.
The PARK ASSIST OFF message is displayed in the DIC when the parking assist system is disabled due to conditions that disable or inhibit the system. The object alarm module requests the DIC display PARK ASSIST OFF when it detects one of the following conditions:
• The parking assist system is manually disabled using the driver information center (DIC). • An object is attached to the rear of the vehicle, such as a trailer, bicycle rack, trailer hitch receiver, or tow bar. • The object alarm sensors are covered by snow, mud, dirt, slush, or ice. • The vehicle bumper is damaged, • Excessive paint thickness on a replacement object alarm sensor. • The object alarm sensors are disrupted by vibrations, like those caused by a large nearby vehicle or from heavy equipment such as a jackhammer.

please DO NOT even try to access airbag,if you short circuit it it will blow, and poss consequences are you will need a new head....it takes about 1x20th of a second from flat to fully out....most problems are sensors, not airbags, and anyway, surely you are still under warranty???????speak nicely to the area manager if you have to or you could go to watchdog.....

The led panel over the rearview mirror says that the Parking Assist is disabled but I cannot enable it following the instructions in the owners manual and it doesn't reset when the ignition is turned off....

I had this situation too, exactly. Everybody told me it was probably a rear bumper sensor gone bad, but at least in my case, no such luck. It was the Park Assist Module, basically the control computer for the whole system. A new one fixed it, but was about $300.

2008 jeep liberty navigation safety disable question

Can't be done. All the safety items are controlled by the ECM.
If the ECM senses the car moving via the speed sensor, it will disable the nav. To disable the safety would be to disable the computer and the car will not run.

What does "service park assist system" mean on my 2008 jeep?

The park assist system detects objects 59 inches or less in back of your vehicle, to warn u so u don't strike the object. I'm guessing that since the service park assist system comes on in the ice and snow, the monitor is detecting something (ice and snow covering the sensor). If u clean off the snow and ice, the message should shut off.
