No.. this is not a valve stem problem.. I had the exact sme problem with my 300m chrome wheels.. It is NOT a tire problem.. it is a WHEEL problem.. The chome is very soft and begin to deteriorate from the inside.. Then you can never get a proper seal.. so you always- especially in cold weather have some degree of leak. I replaced tires numerous times to no avail. Problem did not stop untill I replace my wheels. I bought some new regular metal wheels and have not had a single flat tire since

It is most likely the valve stems. take off the caps and spray some soapy water in them and around the base. if there is a leak you will see bubbles.

2000 chrysler lhs wheels/tires leaking air

I have seen complaints about the factory chrome peeling off in the bead area and causing leak. Didn't find a service bulletin for that.
Take it to a tire shop let them look at it, see if they can smooth up the bead area. It would only be in the bead area. In the past, I have used a wire brush adapter that fits in a drill to clean rust off the rim bead area. I don't know if that would work, if chrome was peeling.
As a last resort, replace the rim. I don't think Chrysler is going to help you?

I have a tire system in my 2003 cryster town and country. The display is telling me to service the tire system. Can I do this my self? I did have the tires replaced.

Did this come on right after you had the new tires installed. If it did then the auto tech may have messed up the sensor mounted on the inside of the rim. If it just started I would check the tire pressure make sure it's not too low or high. Good luck.

I have a 1992 Chevy Lumina Van with Alum. rims that leaks air out of the tires. Is there a fix for that or do i need to buy steel rims? Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

What you have is a very common and annoying problem with aluminum wheels. There are 3 things you can do. Take it to a tire shop and have them put rubber sealant around the bead, put fix a flat in each tire, or like you said, buy steel wheels.

Factoy tire size

The factory size is P185/65R14.
I have a Honda Civic and i cold Wisconsin winter use a set of Blizzak winter tires P185/65R14 on steel rims.
If ambient temperature warms up above 45F degree, I use a set of tires P205/45R16 Falken Ziex Ze-912, mounted on 16 inches aluminum rims.
Using all season tires is a good compromise too.

There are chrome rims on the car I bought about 4 years ago. I took the car in to discount tire because one of the tires continue to go flat on a weekly basis. I was told that the rims got wet inside which...

moisture in a mounted tire will rust a steel rim from the inside out with chrome it gets under the chrome plating and attacks the steel rim which peels, flakes and bubbles the chrome off if it hasnt damaged the outside of rim[meaning re chrome or replace rim] and only at rim lip u can sand lip till smooth and theirs a brown sealer that almost every tire place use and can be put on tire lip which seals stopping any rim lip leak this stuff is use for problems like yours imperfections on rims---doesnt matter where u live the moisture has nowhere to go they will have the moisture in there

2006 Mini Cooper S - tire conversion

You are right about the quality of ride, and would probably notice better handling as well. However when selecting new tires you need to awnser 3 basic questions.Where do you live?,what type of driver are you?And of course, what is your price range. If you live where you get snow and ice your going to need all-season tires. If you dont have to worry about that I would go with summer tires. They tend to offer better grip and ride and are also cheper. The down side is they tend to wear quicker. As far as brand,if money isnt an object go with bridgestone, michelin,or goodyear. If it is there are many good tires for less, check out sites like tirerack.com and you can read customer reviews.Hope this helps.

FACTORY TIRES NOT WORKING

Make sure the rims are seating properly and you could have tread seperation on the original tires or tire. Might have been why and when they changed wverything.. Tire and wheel package cheaper than 4 new tires

Want to down size the tires on my 2007 Caliber R/T (from 18" to how small can I go ?)

not without a body kit. If it was designed for 18" i wouldn't use anything except for those otherwise you might see other problems start cropping up in the future. As to the price, try a used tire place most of their tires are in pretty good condition and are a lot less than brand new tires.
