Hi everyone, any help you could offer would be more than greatlyappreciated. I bought this truck over a month ago, so i am not superframiler with it yet, anyway it drove fine for the first 3 weeks ofcoarse, then one morning i went to the truck drove about 8 blocks couldheard some squelling(which would happen for 20-30sec when truckstarted) the truck started to kick/jump as if it was running outtafuel, i put the accelerator down to keep it from stalling out, pulledover, it idled fine looked under the hood, nothing obviously out of theordinary got back in when i tried to change from 1st to second again ilost power and had to hammer down the accelrator trying to get homedrove sorta normal for about 8 blocks heading back, then started dyingagain and finally stalled out a block from home. After that could notstart truck at all, engine just turns with no start, not even anykicking or combustion. Had a weak spark so replaced the wires coil, disct cap and rotor and plugs, so i have good spark to all 6 cylinderstested out good, there is fuel coming out of the tbi unit, i can hearthe fuel pump start and i replaced the pump relay to make sure that wasnot of issue, i have not been able to start car with starting fluid orpouring gas in...running outta ideas here...if you have a suspesion orsomething i should check please let me know! Thanks alot!
-Chris

Hello copewithit,

You have fuel and spark, so all that is left is the need for air (correct pressure) and timing. Maybe a loss of needed vacuum or pressure.... IACValve? Could it be a timing belt problem? Just some suggestions....

If this is dristributor type unit replace the ignition module in the didtributor.

- Odds are it is the ignition conroller module inside the distributor. iI had a bad time with this before I learned better.

sounds like something I just dealt with. Check your distributer. There is no way to test it so you will just have to try
