Hello Linton...the used tires should work if they are 14 inch....Check for proper clearance... They will be a little taller than the ones that came on your escort. Your speedometer will not be accurate with the taller tires, it will be a few MPH's off...just a reminder so you wont get a ticket. Good luck...i hope this helps.
if your fusebox is in the panel to the right of the ignition key, the fuse is number 29, this fuse also covers other items so it maybe that either the cables have come off the back of the lighter or it is faulty if the fuse is good. hope this helps.
U need to reset the fuel cutoff switch, that is what the light means. U didn't say what model, if it is a station wagon it is in the left rear cargo area trim panel, there is a hole with a plug in it, if it is a sedan it should be in one of the kick panels, also a hole, I think passenger side, if reseting the switch doesn't turn he light out then the switch is defective. this info is in the owners manual as well.
