Heater control relay location

Under the hood. The locations are outlined in the owner's manual. If you don't have the OM you can register with the GM owner's site and download it fro free here. It is better if you tell us the exact problem, like the AC blower stays on or whatever it might be.

Location of heater blower

The blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. There is usually a trim panel that needs to be removed in. Order to gain access to the blower motor. Once the trim panel is out of the way you should be able to see the blower motor. If you have any questions let me know. Thank you for using fixya.com!

All the heater blower speeds work on my 1998 Suburban except the high speed. I have replaced the blower motor and the switch. What else could the problem be? I have seen some writings about a resistor but...

Hello Boco.

In your Suburban there is a high blower relay.
When the switch to high is selected it activates a relay to another circuit that is fused separately.
This fuse in under the hood marked blower fuse 3 which is a 50 amp fuse.
This is most likely the problem.
However, if it isn't then the problem becomes the relay, the switch or a broken wire.
If it isn't the fuse, contact me back here using comments and I will help you with the next step in fixing your heater blower.

Thank you for using FixYa.

1998 olds 88 heater blower motor

to answer your question , yes there is a relay ,, it is located on the center rear of the engine compartment , just below the maxi fuse block , you should see a few relays all screwed on a block together . according to picture its the one closest to the passenger side of the car , but i wouldn't count on that . this may help indentify it , it has 4 wires , 1 is yellow ,1 is tan , 1 is light blue and 1 is dark blue . just answering your question . hope ya FIX it . please vote fix ya if you find my info to your liking , thanks .
