Doesn't blow hot air
Does the blower still work?? Are you waiting long enough for the engine to warm up?? your heat comes from the engine heat. hot coolant (antifreeze) flows through the heater core (like a smaller radiator) behind the dashboard. the blower pulls air through the hot heater core, making the air hot.
If it blows air, but never gets warm, you should first check your coolant. if you drive your car without it, you will have big, expensive engine problems. If there is no coolant or very low coolant, you need to check for leaks after you refill it. (make sure you get the right kind of antifreeze. autozone can help)
most cars that new dont have radiator caps. Instead there is a seperate coolant tank under the hood. fill it to the full mark, let the car run and watch it. It will **** down the coolant from that tank untill the radiator is full.
If you have plenty of coolant, you may need a new thermostat. sometimes they get stuck. some stick open, some stick shut. It is usually easy to change one and they are cheap. I can't help you much with that cuz its different on every car. on my car, I have to crawl under it to get to the thermostat. hope this helps.

will the air flow switch from floor to the mid to defrost? if so then we have a problem with the tempature door actuator. easy to replace just in tight place. Keep me posted for more help or if this was any help thanks

It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.
If persistent boil ups/over attention must made in the cylinder head
or gasket area, or possibly water pump?

Make sure the heater core is in the open position by using the shut off valve and turning it to open. next, you may have a malfunction in the direction door the directs the air flow in the dash. a lever may have become lose or separated. may be a bad servo motor not directing the door to move to the heater position. i would start by checking that shut off valve first on the heater core.

If your "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light is on, you need to have that checked out first.
If not, the next thing you should check is your engine coolant level. (Antifreeze) If the coolant level is low, the engine coolant does not circulate through the heater core and the the heater doesn't work. The coolant level could be low for a number of reasons including a leaky hose, water pump, or head gasket. In any case, if it is found to be low, you need to find out why.
If the coolant level is OK then the thermostat function needs to be checked to make sure that the engine is reaching operating temperature.
If all of the above checks out OK, then the heater control valve and/or the blend air door in the HVAC housing needs to be checked for proper operation. (NOTE: some cars are not equipped with a heater control valve)
