I have had the same problem, but on my 91 Lancer, turned out to the Oil Pressure Switch, which is situated behind the Alternator. Hope that helps. J.

I have an 02 mitsu lancer and i was wondering if i can convert the clutch slave cylinder to a newer model cylinder to prevent this "out of the blue" problem from happening again

I think most of the MiT Lancers have the same SLAVE, the difference is the size of the cup kit and the length of the PUSH rod.
Don't worry about having old parts for ur lancer, they have the same part as the Hyundai!

What type of transmission fluid for 2002 mitsubishi lancer? Mobil,BP,Shell,CASTROL

take your car to mitsubishi dealer as far as i know, it only takes certain mits oil, chemicals in some oils can ruin the seals in the transmission.

Hi I the owner of a lancer 2003 4g18 Engine CVT transmission leaking oil by timing belt i have change seals about 4 times already i don't know what to do again.

maybe the leak is not in the cam or crank oil seals. i have the same car, found out the leak is coming from the valve cover and crank case (oilpan).

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

could be the oil pump, but before you get to that, whens the last time you had you oil changed? is it the right type? was the filter changed to? if the oil is to thick for your engine, the pump could be having a problem pushing it. If its dirty, same thing applies. Next time you change your oil, be sure to use a full synthetic. its a superior oil all around.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

I had the same exact problem over the weekend. We decided to go cheap first and replace the Oil Pressure Switch. It's like $6.00 at Auto Zone here in Texas. (don't know if you are from the states). It ended up being the switch. It's located right by the oil filter and it's very easy to change. Just make sure you have a wrench or deep socket bigger than 15/16. I think we used a 1 inch wrench.

If it's not the switch, its most likely the oil pump, but don't forget to check the hose, it could be bent or crimped.

Hope this helps :D

2003 lancer strut

Yeh.. easy... usually a bad strut will make noise when going over bumps such as clunking, squeaking, knocking. also, pushing down on the corner of the car with the suspected bad strut should make the car feel 'soft'.
Also, a bad strut usually is leaking hydraulic oil. If a faulty strut is suspected, have the dealership or mechanic diagnose and repair the problem.

2002 mits. lancer shakes and almost dies when stopped.

it could be that your air mass meter is going bad, or that you have a vacuum leak. check your air filter how dirty it is.
if it's too old or dirty replace it because it will kill your air mass meter and will cost you 10 + times more.
