Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck
1992 Nissan pick up with KA24E motor. All the oil drains from the motor over a 2 hour period. When I restart the truck the lifters rattle for a second may be two the everything is fine. I know they had timing chain tension problems but that was resolved. I use the Nissan oil filter which has a check valve in it. Why is my oil draining away? Oil pump tolerance????? Nobody can answer this ??????

Alternator belt tension is adjusted on these engines by means of a tension adjusting bolt.
On some vehicles it is easier to access a component from underneath the truck
Loosen the alternator pivot bolt with a box wrench or a ratchet and socket
Use the adjusting bolt to vary tension on the belt
