I found it. It's under the hood against the firewall, mounted with adhesive- a brilliant place to put it!

The resistor is in the fan itself I don't know if you are talking about the fan for the blower motor in the car or the engine fan itself both of them have resistors I would suggest you stop by Auto Zone and get the location and the diagram for the fan you are replacing

Where is the fan in a 2000 dodge caravan

I am assuming you are asking about the Blower Fan and not the Radiator Fan?
The Blower Fan is located below the Passenger side Dash. It is inside the black Duct work.
May I ask what the problem is?
Is the Blower working or only working on High? If only on High then the Blower Motor is fine and the Blower Motor Resistor that controls the Low to High speeds is bad. This is located behind the Glove Box in the Dash and on the firewall. Remove the Glove Box to access. It is approximately 3 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches and has 3 to 4 wires going into it.
There is also a Front Blower Motor Relay located in the Relays and Fuses.
Before replacing the Blower Motor, get back with me (for free) and let me know. This may save you alot of money in the long run, saving you from purchasing parts you may not need!
Let me know if this helped, and let me know what the problems (symptoms/signs) are.

Heater works only on high

This is 100% the Blower Motor Resistor located adjacent to the Blower Motor. Take your Dash Glove Box out to access. It is mounted on/into the fire wall. It should be approximately 3 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Mounted with two (2) 8mm metal screws/bolts. Unplug the electrical connections, unbolt and remove.
I have repaired several dozen including my own.
Purchase the Resistor at an auto parts store versus a dealer to save you alot of money.

2002 dodge grand caravan - 50k mi. bought it used 6 mnths ago, have used a/c & heat with no problems. Recently - the blower (fan) only works on high - no other settings. Any air lines I need to look...

Sound like a problem I have ahd before, unfortunately it sounds as if the fan switch has given out. You will need to remove and replace. On a Caravan it is not hard but you do take the bezel around the radio and a/c off and then remove the a/c controls in order to remove the swicth.

2000 Chevy Malibu blower motor doesn't work on positions 1 & 2. Would appreciate details on how to fix or change it.

remove dash insulator from under glove box. then move bcm to one side, fan resistor is beside the fan blower motor. the resistor will keep fan speeds from working. remove wiring and screws from resistor then take it out.

2001 Dodge Caravan heater fan not working on low or medium speeds

Hi ,The resistor is in the heater box located under the dash on the passenger side.It can be seen when you crawl under the dash and look up. It has two or three bolts on it. It will also have a plug connected to it, which has to be disconected.

Fan motor on 2000 Caravan works only on high.

For the problem of the blower motor only working on high, I just replaced my blower motor resistor. It is located under the hood on the firewall on the passenger side. There is a rectangular plug that connects to it. Remove the plug (tight space). The resistor can be pryed out. It is just held in with retaining clips. Insert the new part (about $15) and reconnect the plug.

Took about 20 minutes. Blower now works on all speeds as normal.

Good Luck!
