Question about 1991 Eagle Talon

1 Answer

My 1994 eagle talon leaks A LOT of oil just after a 650 mile trip. it maintained oil pressure and temperature the entire trip. I went out the next day to make a quick run and all the oil leaked out of my engine. all the oil is on the bottom backside of my oil pan. is it my gasket or maybe h connection somewhere... or maybe even my rear main seal has blown?

All likely.. check oil filter for loose..check pan and lower components for damage from debris hitting it... then fill and run idle looking for source... good luck

I have a 1994 eagle tolon dl and every time i go

This sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I would test the vacuum pressures, and the brake fluid.

Power loose

Make sure you have no boost leaks or vacume leaks. Any air leak is a killer bro. Try using ngk bpr73es it is one step colder plug that the stock,, that will help with the extra boost since these cars came stock with the actualality of 9psi and you might want to invest in a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator if you are going to be messing with the boost or use a fuel pressure regulator off of a 95 to 99 talon or eclipse

Oil light goes on...had a dry stick 4 1/2 qts put in. no oil on ground. after oil change light went on at 70 miles.. on 15 secs then off for 5 miles then on again 15 secs--- off 4 miles--off 3 miles- off 2...

if it's not going onto the ground, and it's not being burned, check the positive crankcase ventilation and the exhaust gas recirculation valves for oil seepage...also check your air filter, if its got oil on it replace the pcv valve.

Can't locate the starter on my 1994 Eagle Talon

You'll need to look under your vehicle and along side the transmission you should see it. If you don't know what you are looking for as far as a description then you can Google "eagle talon starter" and find a picture on one of the offered matches.

Need help on my eagle talon

Every car is a piece of junk when it doesn't run right. Doesn't matter if it cost $500 or $50000.

You don't exactly see a lot of Eagle Talons running around on the road today. Reason is, they just weren't that great of a car as far as longevity goes.

But if it runs, then drive it til the wheels fall off.

Could be:

1. Wrong fluid. Cheap, Just have it serviced with a fluid change.

2. Not enough fluid. Cheap. Go to parts store and add some according to owners manual.

3. Bad fluid. Too old or burnt. Have the fluid changed.

4. Transmission is about to go out. Very expensive.

1997 Eagle Talon TSI AWD oil pressure goes from zero to normal and back

Te 1st thing to do is replace the oil pressure guage sending unit, most times that is the problem, if press remains low use a mechanical test guage to verify what the oil pressure is, hook this tester up at the port the sending unit is screwed into.
