Glad you asked , its like a saftey pin , you push in on the lower side of that paper clip looking device , as you push in , move it side ways to the left or the right , depending on how your looking at it , its real dumb , just like a saftey pin . by the way there is a recall on the 2002 , 2003 altima headlights , if you see burnt connectors , or crumbly plastic were the actual bulb inserts into the light assembly , take it to nissan , under the headlight campaign , more often they will replace both headlight assemblies , all nice and new and clear . 2 thumbs up !

How do you change the head light on a 97 honda odyssey?

you want to change the headlight bulb, or the whole headlight assembly? The bulb is easy. There is a round rubber boot, about 3 inches in diameter, on the backside of the headlight assembly under the hood. Behind the rubber boot is the headlamp , secured by a wire clip that holds it secure in place. You pop that wire clip open. Its sort of triangle shaped and clips on to the headlight Assembly. The clip doesn't normally come , just unclip it, and the headlamp will then pull out. Unplug it from the plug by pushing on the release tab. Take the lamp to the auto parts store and buy a replacement. Install in reverse procedure, but make sure not to touch the glass on the bulb. These bulbs get very hot and even slight oil from your finger tips can cause the glass on the bulb to burst. The one on the passenger side is harder to get to because of the battery location. The easiest way to change bulbs is usually to ask the person at the auto parts store to do it for you. Many times Auto Zone and Advance Auto stores will put them in for you.

The headlight assembly is a different story. That is the whole plastic headlight and side marker light that must come out. There are 2 ) 6mm bolts ( 10 mm head) located at the top of the headlamp , sticking in the radiator core support. That's the big piece of metal that goes from inner fender to inner fender which the radiator attaches too. Then there are 2 more bolts on the bottom of the headlamp assembly that bolt to tabs on either side. For the side marker light there are 2 screws in the backside of them against the fender, and a bolt on the bottom. You have to pull the plastic cover inside the wheel well. Might be easiest to pull the tire to get more room. There might be another bolt or screw in there, not sure as its been a while since Ive replaced them. If you replace a headlight assembly, they will cost you around $100 used at a salvage yard or e bay. The side marker lights you can get new for under $40 all over the internet. Hope this helps some

) Open the hood. On top of the headlight assembly are two L-shaped metal pins (they look like allen wrenches) about 5 inches long. Unhook then and pull them straight up. This will allow you to remove the upper headlight assembly. 2) There is a plastic clip on the outboard end of the lower light assembly. Push the plastic clip outward will detach the lower light assembly, and you can pull the assembly straight out. 3) Untwist the light blub bracket counterclockwise. 4) Pull the bulb out, and replace it with a new one. 5) Reverse the process to install

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and the passenger side head lamp will not come on. The fog lights and driver side head lamp works but the passenger side will not work on bright or on dim, what could this be?

Hi. Since the headlight on the driver side is working then we dont have any problem with the fuse or relay. Check the wiring and the socket of the passenger headlight if it is intact to the bulb. If it is intact, then this could be a headlight problem. Time to replace the passenger headlight.

How to replace our low beam headlight on 1999 town and country

1.) Open the hood of your van 2.) On the passenger side of the vehicle, look behind the headlight enclosure. You will see a set of wires running into the back of it. This is the power clip. Either with your hand or a flat-head screwdriver, pop the power clip off.
3.) There is a plastic ring encasing the light bulb. Turn the ring counter-clockwise and pull it out of the socket and set it aside.
4.) Pull firmly on the light bulb to remove it.
5.) Place the new light bulb into the same opening. Be careful not to touch the glass part of the new bulb. The oils in your skin can substantially reduce the life of the new bulb.
6.) Replace the plastic ring and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
7.) Reattach the power clip to the back of the bulb.
