Question about 1990 Honda Accord
Make sure you push the brake when you atttempt to remove it from park, and that the "tension" is released from the steering wheel as well - I think there is a brake interlock that ensures the brake is pressed before it releases the shifter - these solenoids sometimes go bad as well, so it could be that.
