You might wanna try taking the radio fuse out for a few seconds and then putting it back in. Sometimes that helps the radio reset itself and will begin working as it should. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery also for a few seconds, and if still that doesn't work, then you might have to take the whole thing out (radio) and open it to try to take the CD out manually. After that, if the problem persists, just replace the whole thing. Hope that only taking the fuse out for a while will solve you problem.

Press and hold DISP knob, when info comes on window press the seek arrow in tell you find what you need to reset. press the #1 button and it will beep. go back to the seek arrow and find exit. press the DISP knob again and you are done.

Cd player error

so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.

and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.

is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.

try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.

but this does it all, mostly
does what yours will not do.

music, comes in only so many sources
1: cassette CD, DVD, DVD MP3
2: Am-FM radio. or SAT)
3: USB , stick with mp3 music (this is what i use )
4: jacked in (mini plug) Ipods or MP3 players of any kind.
my guess is 4, a MP3 player./????
which are you.?

and the fuses are in the cab fuse box. if car device factory stock
if not say so.
the CRV opr. guide is here, fuses are in the manual, in fact.

RTM.

if fuses are good, post back, that they are or, ask how to test fuses
a tech knows , fuse that look good, can in fact be bad.
fuse that look bad, for sure are.
we use a DMM on ohms to test all suspected fuse. (100% accurate)

if the DEVICE , uses CIG power, and is dead, the CIG fuse is blown.
see the manual above.

My radio/CD player constantly says "ERR" and CD's won't play anymore. It doesn't show the time or the radio station either, just "ERR". I can hear it, like it's trying...

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio
must likely the cd is stock or more likely the cd drive motor is defective .
FIRST try pushing eject on radio and see CD comes out if not you need a new radio .

good luck vote
