Probably.
If the truck has a small block V8 now, and the 5.8 is from a truck, most everything should bolt up. You may have different sensors for the computer. If the truck has something other than a small block now it would take alot of work to change everything over.
A salvage yard could tell you for sure.

SOURCE: will 1995 transmission work in 1991

i would think you would be fine, just swap the computers for the trannsmission as well
