That light sounds like a differential lock or 4-wheel drive. This is usually found in 4-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles. Being the light is "GREEN" and not amber or red tells me that it's not an abnormal problem.
Look around your dashboard or gearshifter for a button labeled 4x4 HI, 4x4 LO, 4x2 HI. sport/off road button, or a second, smaller shifter. Switch them around a little, and if it is a 4x4 selector, be sure when you drive on paved roads to have it set to 4x2 HI. 4x4 HI should only be used if you get stuck to help you get out (snow/mud) and 4x4 LO is only for off road driving (trail blazing/rock climbing/4-wheeling/mud bogging,etc.)
Also, check for any switches labled "DIFF LOCK" or 'AXLE LOCK". In most cars a green light is normal operations.

If you don't have any brake lines leaking, change the master cylinder, bench bleed the new one then bleed the blakes, starting with the right rear, left rear, right front, then left front. If the booster was gone, you would hear air leaking out of it when you pressed the pedal down.

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid,not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers,could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.

No it is not that big of a deal. It is normally 2-3 nuts and your brake lines. The things to make sure of is that brake fluid does not get on any of the electronics below the cylinder by using a towel. Also make sure to bleed the cylinder before hooking the brake lines in all the way. Basically you can do this by screwing in the brake lines about half way and hitting the brake pedal about half way down. Make sure the reservoir does not get empty. Bleed it until there is nothing but fluid coming out of both lines. Obviously this is best done with two people. Have them hold the pedal down while you tighten the lines fully and you should be good.
