Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

I'm thinking about replacing my factory stereo unit from my 2003 Chrysler 300M with a different model Chrysler factory stereo. After reading up on a Chrysler forum about different factory amplifie

Details I have been unwilling to change factory head unit with after-market because I have steering wheel controls for my stereo currently and didnt' want to lose that feature. To date, I have replaced the factory installed rear deck speakers and the factory installed center dash-board speaker. I need to replace the factory installed speakers in the front doors but have been a little confused about which type of speaker to buy for proper replacement. I'm under the impression that the door speakers are not full range(they are low frequency) due to the crossover from the amplifier? I have separate tweeters on the front doors. I'm a bit confused by it all. I basically just want to have more sound than I currently have now. Sounded like the better factory amplifier would do the trick without losing steering wheel controls. Your help is appreciated. Thanks, Pat.

I'm thinking about replacing my factory stereo unit from my 2003 Chrysler 300M with a different model Chrysler factory stereo. After reading up on a Chrysler forum about different factory amplifiers in various verhicles, I've been convinced that my particular factory amplifier is significantly inferior to other factory amplifiers(one in particular). I've learned that my factory amplifier is p/n 04760902AC. My stereo model# is P56038589AN. I'm looking to purchase a Chrysler factory amplifier with p/n 04760688AC. I believe the factory stereo p/n P04858540AH is equipped with amplifier p/n 04760688AC or are these 2 completely separate units located in different parts of the vehicle? I've a bit confused by amps and head units being separate items like amps and pre-amps for home stereos. Can you clarify the factory head unit/amplifier location mystery? Also, can you help me understand what exactly I need to purchase(other factory amplifier and head unit) along with additional wire harness adapters, to transform my 2003 300M sound system to the better sounding stereo indicated from the forum using the 04760688AC factory amplifier instead of the one my car came with?

I have a 2001 Chrysler 300m. My code reader read that all 4 o2 sensors were bad (only this would happen to me at 1 time) so I replaced all 4 sensors and erased the stored codes drove the car about 20 miles...

Hello David Sharp,

I don't think you are as persecuted as you think...
Your first impression...

"Not likely all 4 at the same time"...
I think was CORRECT.

I would put a few more miles on the car...

I suspect they will all (4) check back in because
OXYGEN SENSORS do their jobs...

They sense problems.

In the mean-time... become more familiar
with the cost and availability of your EXHAUST SYSTEM.

JUST my opinion...
(I'd take it to a muffler shop for a FREE estimate)
((but only after checking PRICES BELOW)).
