You need the cars air bag system repaired (SRS System)

Only then can the issues be reset-- as you suggest or would like

No reset or anything you can do-- but write a big check or two
to fix all the issues

SOURCE: Won't start or crank after wreck.

this is probably a safety. no explosion, shut down. check to make sure no wires were cut/damaged and look in the trunk for an emergency shut off. there might also be a shut down relay onboard. if there is it's under the hood in the relay box.

Could be one of two things.

1. Your starter motor is no good.
2. If you turn on your lights and try to start the car and they dim to almost black, then you need to check the battery connections.

SOURCE: 98 saturn sl1 won't start

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.

SOURCE: CAR WONT START.

Next time it does it, have someone turn key to crank and thump the starter with a hammer or something heavy, If it cranks you need a starter.

Airbags have deployed. Car will not crank

What is the reason for the deployment of the airbags , did you hit the car or they open with no reason. If you hit the car there is fail safe mechanism to stop the engine automatically.

I don't kno the extent of damage but if a 2002 chevy malibu had the airbags deployed will it still start.. i had someone tell me once airbags are deployed the car won't start

There are computer and safety interlocks that generally prevent cars from starting after the airbags deploy. Some cars have explosive bolts that also fire to disconnect the battery and fuel pump after an airbag deployment. These are all meant to limit damage in an accident. I suggest you take the car on a flatbed truck to a dealer or mechanic.

Won't start after airbags deployed? (NOT inertia switch)

Assuming the pump has not died, you should be able to jumper the pump relay.
The lite blue and orange wire should be power from the fuse, and the dark green and yellow wire should go to the inertia switch then to the pump.

91 plymouth sundance died, oil on ground, check engine on

If you feel like the engine is still ok, I would look at the oil pressure and check engine light issues.
On engines with fuel injection, the fuel pump is powered by the pump relay until the engine starts. Then the engine has to have oil pressure to keep the fuel pump powered.
Its a safety feature so if you are in a wreck the fuel pump does not keep running if the engine is off.
I would want to know why the oil pressure light is staying on and what the trouble codes are in the computer.

My car was wrecked and the airbag deployed. The shop has not installed the airbag yet and finds that the car won't start. Is it possible that the airbag installation is preventing the car from starting? ...

No...Your car doesnt start because if another problem.
Does your engine turn over?If it doesnt then its your starter motor...
Best thing to do is to have diagnosed to determine error codes .Then you will know why it doesnt start ..

I have a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis with 69000mi. The airbag light starts flashing and then goes steady. What is the problem? Just started this a few days ago.

Most likely it is a sensor behind the front bumper. Sometimes if you can get to them and spray them with WD40 they will behave. It can also mean the pressure pak is bad on the Airbag and that it will never deploy. These things make me nervous. On this item you are better off with a Body shop looking at it if WD40 does not help.

A Body shop is better because they replace Airbags that were deployed in the cars they are repairing. The Body shop also replaces the sensors damaged in a wreck. Mainline mechanics generally work in a separate area of a Dealership and the Body shop guys work in their own area.

I started my 07 escalade esv in the morning about 1 weak ago and the service airbag light apeared and i was hoping it wold just go away in time but it dident i have about 120.000k in the car any cheap...

its better to go to service center and diagnostic tool will tell you which of your sensors or airbag module have the problem, i wish that no deployment happen because if deployed is commanded you will change the airbag main control module, repair acording to the dtc codes and diagnostic aid, if the problem is module such as side airbag, curtain, drivers airbag or the passenger airbag, you may connect the two wire by 2.2 ohms resistor 2watts. if you want little cost but the disadvantage is, what ever happen in your car, there is no airbag deployment even the computer will command to deploy in case of accident, my suggestion to you is not advisable but its about you
