On a 4zz I changed oil pump but the iol light is still on

Add oil, auto transmission oil should be red / pink in colour. If trhe iol on the transmission dipstick is not red / pink but dirty black or grey it needs to be full changed. If changed remember to do the filter as well. Hope this helps

Sounds like you are losing oil pressure when low rpm's. Try putting high mileage oil and filter and see if it continues, If it does you may have a screen in the oil pan that is clogged where it goes into the pump causing low oil pressure when under idle conditions.

sounds like iol pressure sensor or oil pump failure need to have that checked asap & dont drive it you could make your problem much worse if it is the oil pump

The oil pressure switch causes it to turn on when there is no oil pressure. There is oil you say, so you need to check if there is oil pressure when you start the engine. Simplest test even without gauges is to remove pressure switch and start engine briefly and turn it off. If you have oil pressure you will have oil shooting out of the switch hole. Replace switch. If you dont have check iol pump.

sounds like they have put too much or the wrong oil in the car.. check your manual or call the dealer to find out what oil it takes also check your iol dipstick to see if there is too much or not enough iol in the car. i hope this helps. maby check your air filter too, make sure its clean and the car can breath..

it could be a short or a break on the wire running to the pressure switch.
check the wire along its length. especially where it passes close to metal, and through the bulkhead.

the most likely would be damage to the outer insulation leading to a short. this should be quite eaasy to spot

try replacing the oil sending unit first,
it tells the gauge on your dash how much pressure you have,if your light comes on it means you don't have oil pressure,so change the sending unit to see if this takes care of it,

could be a sensor. Need to put a gauge on there and check the oil pressure, If ok, replace the sensor. If you have low oil pressure at idle, it is likely the oil pump is shot or the pick up screen is clogged with debris. In either case, this is going to require major repairs.

end of that bracket is another bolt....careful of oil pump drive shaft now as you take the assembly down..good luck
