Question about Cars & Trucks
I got in my truck to leave work a few days ago and when I cranked the truck, it would not let me put it in gear. I checked all my lights and none of the brake lights were out. I did find online that I could turn the key to the on position, then turn it back one click, then put the truck into Neutral, then crank the truck and I was able to drive it as long as I don't put it back into Park position. Then I will have to start over. Took the truck to a local mechanic yesterday and he check the ignition switch and said it was fine. He also ran the computer diagnostic on it and found 9 codes. The codes that he read are: B1892 - Air bag tone warn circuit fault C1096 - Hydraulic Pump motor circuit open C1226 - Brake Warning Lamp Short to Ground B1676 - Battery Voltage Out of Range U1262 - SCP Data fault for J 1850 BUS B1356 - Ignition run circuit fail C1284 - Oil Pressure switch fault P0460 - Fuel Level Sensor Circuit fault P0125 - Coolant Temperature too low/closed loop This is a 2003 Ford F150 Lariat with the Triton V8 engine. Its a super cab with the big back seat. Any ideas what might be going on? Thanks

If wiggling the wires cured the code, then one of the wires is broken inside the insulation. Pull on each wire one at a time. look for the colored insulation to stretch, this will be the broken wire. For the other car that wont rev up, this is a common when the catalytic concverter is plugged up. This will also cause MAF codes, and in turn, TRAC OFF light.

Have you checked for spark on all 8 plugs? Unplug the exhaust side coil pack and run the engine. Does it run on all 4 cylinders?

I am having the exact same problem with my 2001 Hyundai Elantra. I was told that the engine code that comes up when the sensor is on is called "Absolute Pressure In The Manifold". I was told by a "Hyundai Specialist" that when that code comes up it usually means that the seal on the manifold is Fuct. When my mechanic checked that out for me he had noticed that my manifold had 4 cracks in it(can varify cause he showed me). He replaced the manifold and gasket. The car ran fine for about 2-3 days and since then the problem has since come back and my check engine light will no longer go on/off it only stays on. Because of the check engine light always staying on I have noticed that on many occasions my car will hiccup many times in a row. The only way to stop the hiccup I have noticed is to take my foot right of the gas for approx. 2-3 sec then car will continue without hiccup(till it happends all over again). All in all I have been having this problem now for approx. 1 year and if there is somehow someway it could be repaired I would appretiate it.

Whenever i get this code i like to clear it and see if it returns. Sometimes in extreme cold weather conditions it will set this code and there may not be anything wrong. What motor is in your celica?
