Question about Cars & Trucks
Heater and blower was working when i parked up after work i went out about 2 houres later ste-arted the car and the heater and blower to demist the windscreen dose not work i ave checked the fuses and they seem ok ?
Replace the blower resistor. Common art to go out first. Next would be the blower itself, but usually the blower gives warning signs/noises.

There are passage ways attached the plenum of the heating /air conditioning system. There are flapper doors that are operated by either air vacuum or electric solenoid motors that direct the air to the floor, side , front, or windshield.. They can sometime get stuck if you get a vacuum leak or solenoid fails or get stuck. If the air is coming out in other places , then that is the case. Try to work the knob back and forth, that will sometimes unstick the solenoid motor. Also listen for a hissing sound . if it is constant then you have a vacuum leak probably in one of the hoses. You didn't give make and model of car, so it is hard to know if you have electric solenoid motors or vacuum motors that operate the flapper doors. .

Do you have rear window tinting?( the plastic sheet type ) If so,check that the edges over the demister tapes have not curled up pulling the tapes off the window and diconnecting them. If they need repair, a small bottle of tape repair solution should be available from a spare parts retailer.

I also have a 53 clio with climate control and the fan stopped working. After being quoted £104 by dealership I decided to have a go myself. Bonnet up, remove driverside scuttle cover. Unplug fan resistor 7701051272 (large plug with black wire to fan)remove securing screws and resistor. Dismantled casing and peeled away gel from soldered side of circuit board around mosfet transistor-desolder and remove. Mine was a N342AD 75344G but the nearest I could get was HUF75337P3 from Maplin £1.68. This was the wrong 'package size' but I managed.Close the clamp slightly (before)to hold transistor firmly and then insert transistor and solder. Reassemble. After I got an email from a scrappy QUOTING £20 if you don't fancy the messing about.

SOURCE: my windscreen demister does not
I've had the same problem with my 52 plate A4 1.9tdi. Had the problem since I bought it. No air from the demister and when I turn the ignition off it sounds like a vent valve is opening and closing continusley, this continues for about five mins then stops. Did what other members did, removed the glove box and tested all the valve opening motors by putting on the front, bottom them windscreen demisters. The motor connected to the green linkage arm (demister) didn't move at all while the other two did. Took the motor off, opened it up via 3 or 4 plastic clips and doused it in electrical contact cleaner and the moving plastic parts in silicone spray. 'Tapped' the silver motor a few times with a screwdriver, waited for it to dry and re-assembled. The demister sprang into life when I reconnected to the green plastic arm. I also sprayed all 3 linkages with silicon spray and I can hardly hear any of the movement any more and the valve opening/closing noise when I turn the engine off is gone too. All in all it took about two hours
