1997 E350 Eldorado bus passenger heater blowing cold air

There is a separate heater core, like a small radiator, which needs hot water running through it, so when the air blows over it, the air gets hot. It sounds like the diverter valve which sends the hot water to this heater core is not working. It could be a problem with the valve itself, or the relay or switch that controls it, or the vacuum line or device that opens the valve when the switch or relay tells it to open.

Heater relay 97 bmw

Go to the front power distribution box and check 30A fuse 20 (GRN/BRN wire) which feed power to the blower relay. When the ignition switch is in START or RUN position, the relay closes and power is fed to the final stage unit. Depending upon the state of the automatic climate control module, power output from the final stage module is applied to the blower motor. If checking all this does not solve the problem, you may have a clogged heater core

1997 Ford Thunderbird heater will not turn off after replacing car battery. I cannot control the temperature inside the car. Clicking sound coming from below the glove compartment.

It is likely that a relay has shorted or stuck in the on position. Look for a relay box or panel below or behind the glove compartment. There should be a few relays mounted there. You will probably be able to feel a relay that is clicking, and it may be warmer than the others. Remove the relay if you can feel the click. If the heater fan shuts off when the relay is removed, then a new relay is probably needed. If this does not solve the problem, the blower motor resistor is probably at fault. These are very trouble prone, esp. on mid-late 90's models. It may have shorted when the battery was replaced if the heater was on at the time and there was some arcing at the battery cables. This scenario could also cause the clicking relay. I suggest trying the relay first as it is much easier to service. You also might consider calling a Ford dealer to see if there are any recalls regarding the climate control system. I know there have been a few on other models from that year.

CAR HEATING VERY SLOW

i would suspect a couple things. if the engine is not running at correct temp. 195 degrees or so. replace thermostat and recheck. if engine is running at normal temp and is not overheating at all. would suggest flushing heater core to see if helps. if not then heater core replacement may be necessary these ford cars and trucks are notorious for poor cooling/heating systems due to the coolant used
