SOURCE: astravan cooling fan problems
When cold, remove plug of the temperature sensor usually found at the top of the radiator (but may be on thermostat area)
Check sensor with a meter - should be normally open (non conducting)
If faulty, fit a replacement. (undo cap of coolant system, then retighten, undo and replace sensor quickly to avoid too much coolant loss, then top up system.) You can drain the system, but sometimes causes airlocks and more problems.

Hello I am a Guru here on Fixya and I can answer your Question. You said you checked the fuse or could not find a fuse. There is a fuse either under the dash in the clove box or under the hood,But you said that the light lit up on the switch so there is power going that way you either have a broke wire or the plug that plugs into the blower its self is not all the way on there and lost contact or your blower motor is burned up.

SOURCE: The 1st speed fan does
if car over heats the 2nd speed will go on,if the coolant is pushed thru the cap it can be a number of things ex.bottle cap not holding presure, termostat not openig, waterpump not curculating coolant, airlock or whorst case topgasket blown.best advace is to get it presure tested first and then get the above tested.hope it helps
