SOURCE: '04 GMC Yukon Denali Check Engine Light

Did u put in fuel shortly before the light came on? I own 2 service centers & the most common situation with "Check Engine" lights are because the fuel cap wasn't re-installed or not tightened. When you refuel make sure it "clicks" when putting back on. We don't charge for a "Code Reading" but a dealer will, don't go there. Go, like the others suggested. If it is the fuel cap & you re-install it correctly, the light will go off after a short drive. Good Luck. PS-Don't panic when the "Check Engine" light comes on unless it blinks, if that happens don't drive. PSS-RE: Murray's, Auto-Zone.......If it's a "Code" (the reader will give a #) the code book will tell you the problem. PSSS-Some1 please have Troy W's Mommy & Daddy take away his keyboard. Just because you can put together a "Lego" car doesn't make you a master mechanic. You only repeated what we said except you have a "Napoleon" complex against any1 plugging something in to a vehicle. It's the same as plugging in a light @ home. In conjunction with "kinder" nine out of ten time in my experience it usually is the oxygen sensor(s) which would be about right with the year model

SOURCE: reset message center window

THIS SHOULD HELP YOU

Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHG OIL SOON light flashes two times, the system is resetting. Turn the key to OFF, then start the vehicle. If the CHG OIL SOON light comes back on, the system has not reset, repeat the procedure. Follow this procedure to reset the GM Oil Life System using the DE 100 Series Radio®. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and the radio off. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed. Press the SEEK up or down arrow to scroll through the main menu. Scroll until OIL LIFE appears on the display. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed. Press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second. Once the message has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display. Press the DISP button to exit programming. A chime will be heard to verify the exit.

SOURCE: 2007 GMC Envoy - Gas gauge showing empty and check engine light

This is a safety feature that the vehicle brings. You need to reset the E.C.U on dealership or it will keep doing it to you. It was probably caused by one single time that you did not closed the fuel cap correctly. Good luck

2007 GMC Yukon Denali engine reduced power

there are 2 conditions that will trigger this SAFE MODE that the engine is running in. The first is transmission over temperature when the sensor in the transmission senses over-temp situation it reduces engine output to no more than 1500 rpm. The second is low oil level in the engine, which will also limit engine rpm to 1500. One of those sensors is bad or the wiring for one of them is damaged. This SAFE MODE is designed to protect the engine or transmission from further damage.

I just got my oil changed in my 2007 denali. i was driving on the highway the gauge went from 14 to 0. the engine light came on and the display showed low oil pressure turn engine off. whats happening...

Low voltage can do some strange things to cars now days. Some things to check would be first your battery condition, and take off the cable ends and clean them even if they look good. Then check the connections on the starter, again its best to take the wires off and clean them, you can't always tell a bad connection by looking at it. You may have a fuseable link that has gone bad too, that would be one of the wires coming off of the starter. Even a bad starter can **** the life out of your electrical system, from 14 volts down to 0. I hope i've given you a little direction here, good luck.

At start up message low oil pressure comes on and goes out after about a minute. gauge reads 40 lbs.

What have you check thus far? Have you checked oil level? Normal? - Check your oil pump operation or diagnostic check codes. Low? - Add oil to top off.
Do you have a Check Engine Light on in addition to Low Oil Press. light? You may need to find out what "else" is going on with your engine by following up with a quick diagnosis check at your local AutoZone (if you've got them in your area) They'll check it for free.
My bet is that you either have low oil level and or your pump is malfunctioning.

How to reset the engine light on a 2007 yukon denali gmc

The check engine light is reset with the scanner. You can also try disconnecting the battery for about 1/2 hour and then connecting it again. If there is a fault code the light will come on again.

The message center is saying coolant low but it looks like its full.

the coolant level sensor in the system give false coolant level readings, the sensor is located in the side tank of the radiator held in by a wire spring clip, pull it out and clean it, if that doesn't cure the light then replace the sensor, they are fairly cheap to buy from the dealer

Oil light comes on,low oil pressure, message says shut engine off now

HI, could be failure of the engine oil pump.. if you are still running around in the vehicle it might be the sensor on the engine block that is faulty, cause without oil pressure your engine will seize up and that's expensive.what about a good oil change and a nice new oil filter, could do wonders ?.good luck.
