SOURCE: when does one engage the ''L'' gear when driving a mitsubishi rvr c

the L gear is Gear # 1 and likewise 2 is second gear, you utilise this in case you are going down on a slop especially icy or snow condition all it does is runs just on 1 or 2 respectively without changing whichh gieves more traction on the road.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. This is transmission damage. First, make sure the fluid is at the correct level and make sure it is not leaking under the vehicle. Without taking the transmission off, you really can't have a defined answer, but it will have to be looked at. It may be a shifting issue also. Is this an automatic or manual? It won't shift down or the automatic stays in high gear, even when going slow? How many miles on the vehicle also please? Thanks.
