Most likely cause is a pulley going bad. Very possibly the alternator, power steering pump, or a/c compressor going bad. Could be just an idler pulley or the tensioner pulley.

SOURCE: 1998 Honda Accord stuck in park

It sounds as if your battery is flat. If its not. remove the black fascia around the gear box, it would reveal a slot at under the fascia in front. Put your key in it and the gear lever would move. If it doesnt then you have a major issue on hand

1999 Honda Accord; making a popping sound in idle (as if popping popcorn under the hood). What could this be?

there could be a slight hole in one of the air intale hoses and can only be heard at idle as drowned out by engine noise , i'd get the OBD codes read this should tell you which , if any , sensor/switch etc could be causing this issue, keep me posted if you wish

Drove through deep water in my 1994 Honda Accord. Stalled out and was pushed out car started back up Next morning I started it u and left it runnin for 5 minutes. A fire started under he hood. I doused...

Anything can be fixed, but at what cost

I think you should part with it

You can not drive thru more than 3" of water
& only at a snails pace, or you know the results

Some people loose their life driving thru water.

Probably rear brakes. Clean them up or get them looked at and try again.

Losing oil

look on your drive, are you starting your own slick, cos the US govt will bill you.....but if you are burning oil BP would like to hear from you...and you would have put so much smoke into the air, birds would need radar to see, otherwise look under the hood and see if you have a leak etc...and get back to us.

Hood wire is out from the latch at the hood end...how to open the hood (1997 Honda accord)

If you get down and look upward in the front grille area, you will see the hood latch from its underside. You need to push the operating lever part across toward the cable outer case using a long screwdriver, lever, or something suitable. You may need to have another person bear down on the hood as you attempt this. This is all a mechanic would do.
