Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a 94 VW Golf/Jetta with a 2.0 ltr gas engine, upon start up in cold whether is difficult. Will try to step on accelerator to keep engine from stalling and then black smoke comes out of pipe and dies unless in keep goosing the accelerator lightly producing more black smoke. This car has some interesting history: motor rebuilt, head remanufactured, ECU replaced, new O2 sensor, basic tune up, replaced fuel pump/filter, and many other things tried over the coarse of 3 years. I am suspicious of the ECU, but not sure.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
