I drove the car to a friends house yesterday and it was running perfectly in the 18 degree weather whitch is very weird once i got there it idled fine for like 30 mins then i shut it off for like 45 mins and went outside to start it again and it didnt want to start so i kept trying and once it finally did i backed out and put it in drive the minute i let off of the brake the rpm gauge flew up to four and it took off in a burn out and i shut the key off and tryed to start it again it would start put spit and sputter and no matter how much i pushed the gas pedal down it would not respond and when i say it was spitting and sputtering it would sound like it was all the way dead i ended up walking home last night and had the car towed today and i cant figure it out can someone help me
Cold weather will cause all kind problems to vechicle.make sure oil right viscosity not to thick, your vechicle fuel could be contaminated with water which will freeze in fuel line cause vechicle stall out.make sure you have good grade fuel.fill up fuel tank add bottle gas treatment see what happens.

Should have had it towed to a repair shop

diagnose an issue like that

Hi, i recommend changing the fuel filter and pump. these devices are dirty or clogged with debris. I also would recommend adding a fuel tank and injectors cleaner to the tank once you have replaced the pump and filter. this will scrub the fuel lines and injectors as well. this will increase the fuel economy of the car and it will clean the fuel system thoroughly. you should notice an improvement after you apply these changes to the cars fuel system.
Make sure the wires and plugs are in good condition. if the wires are old or fouled in any way, replace them along with a new set of spark plugs. change the air filter also.
please rate and have a great day:)

spray your distributor wires and cap with silicone spray. If this does not work you will have to replace distributor cap as it will have a hair line crack in it.

change the fuel filter. and clean the mass air flow sensor usein a can of carb cleaner from any parts shop. depending on the miles on your car the timing belt mit have jumped a tooth. have to change it every 120.000 km.
