Front rear and sides on the block and in the cylinder heads under the exhaust manifolds, the rear ones require the transmission be removed to access them for replacement. You need a special tool kit to install them. FYI they are not freeze plugs they are core plugs to clean the sand when the block was cast in a sand mold.

There are freeze plugs on the block and on the heads as well. There are at least 10 or more. They are on the ends of the heads and below the exhaust manifolds on the block.

I have a 1976 buick regal 350 engine and the oil light comes on when the engine gets hot and it is at an idle. when you give it gas the light goes out. could this be the oil sending unit and if so where is...

it might be the sending unit, is it a buick 350 or a chevy. 350? if a buick engine the sinding unit should be on the side of the timing cover if a chevy 350 next to the dist.

remove the oil sinding unit and install a manuel gauge and see just what the oil pressure is if below 10 psi at hot idle replace the bearings and oil pump in the engine. if this is a chevy 350 make sure you replace the camshaft bearings this is were we use to see the gratest oil pressure loss.

I have a 1994 chevy 350 crate motor which I installed in a 1949 chevy truck and I would like to see a complete engine belt routing diagram. I would like the location of the altenator, power steering and...

When making a swap like that, the car tells you where things need to be so that they don't interfere with anything. What I'd do is go to a local scrapyard and take everything off another 350 that looks like it will work in what you are putting it into. As you remove the parts, take pictures and make notes of where everything goes. In doing that, you will have all the bolts, brackets and spacers to put it on your engine. Chevy engines are good like that as they are drilled and tapped to interchange. There were no 350's in '49 so you will never find an original setup.

You either have a bad spark plug wire or coil pack. The light gray color on plug is normal.
