It sounds like you need a fuel pump.

SOURCE: 1998 Chevy Blazer won't start after dying

Ignition module or pickup coil. (These require special testing tools.) Or it may be the distributor rotor. (Check rotor first. Cheapest to replace.) If you have spark at center coil wire but nothing to plugs, it's the rotor.

ok here we go, hook up a feul pressure guage that can be read from inside the car, and check fuel pressure while driving, if the pressure stays fairly constant then the best bet is to hook up a real time scanner with snapshot capabilities ( like snap on or bdm pro) and take it for a drive again, ti could be a sensor reading out of range but not enough to set a code

My 2001 Chevy Tahoe starts but dies after a few seconds. It sounds like it's choking and suddenly it just dies down. Changed the Fuel filter, don't know where else to start.

it is fuel injected you might need to replace the map sensor or check it to make sure that the vacuum line doesnt have a leak in it

We have a 2003 chevy suburban 5.3 vortec it dies when warmed up

Sounds like either Air mass sensor, Air mass meter or finally the EGR valve this is the exhaust gas recycler I would say that is the fault when they start to go this is what they do until finally the car will barely move.

Also I would check all your air pipes for leaks make sure there is no rips or tears in the pipes, The car will drive fine like you say until you ease of the gas to a stop position it **** in to much air and kills the engine. Air faults are cheaper so look there first.

Hope this helps

Dan

There is a plug, with a clip that holds it on. There is another wire under a black boot that's held on with a nut.

I have a 1987 2 wheel drive suburban 5.7 v8 and I just stopped a signal light and it died. I put it in park it started right away and when I depressed the brake and tried to engage it to drive it died...

No. It is either a fuel or ignition problem. Check for spark, and then fuel. Your filter could be plugged, or fuel pump may have given out. I assume it's fule injected? You should be able to hear the pump cut in for a couple of seconds. If it's carburated , just take the breather off, and pump the gas a couple of times. You should see gas squirting in the carb.
If there's no spark, check wires, distributor, etc.

You need to check the Ignition System. Plugs, Wires, Dist. Cap. If these are Ok, You Probably need to Check the Fuel Pump and Filter. Let me Know!
