The tiny little lights that are hard wired to the radio circuit board are burnt out. You will need to have the radio removed and the bulbs replaced. The bulb number from Radio Shack is #7219 and it takes 2 in most radios I have seen. You must have the proper tools and skills to do the replacement or you can ruin the circuit board.

I have a Pontiac Aztek2003 my radio works but my lights don't come on

The face of the radio is soldered on the board with 15 to 20 leads. 99% of the time if you resolder them the face will light up.

Lights wont come on dashboard

Two different problems. The most likely cause of the dash lights is a faulty headlamp switch. Your issue is a common complaint. The radio is another problem entirely. I would need more information before I could attempt any answer at that.

All lights on the car work, but the tail lights and console lights don't what is the issue?

Check the fuse panel at the left end of your dashboard. If no fuses are bad , did you do any work on car radio? Meaning disconnecting plugs behind the radio face plate, i.e. four way flashers, heat controls, AC switches. You may have also lost your blinker lights, very dangerous.
This may be as simple as a fuse, but if you did any of the above, go back and hook up all the plugs. For some reason all these lights are hooked up thru the back of the radio face. It happened to me.
I would be very happy to help you further if you wish, just contact me. GOOD LUCK.

2003 sunfire radio display does not work, but radio does.Help?

Light is burned out in radio. You can replace the front face of the radio from a good one with a good light and put on your radio and the radio will light up and work in your car. If you replace the whole radio you will need to have the radio unlocked.
Remove your radio. Locate a used radio at a wrecker. Put your car is accessory key postion and plug in the radio at the wreckers. if it lights up it is good. Remove the bottom panel on both radios and unplug the 2 wiring plugs that come from the front face. they are side by side. Unclip the front face and plug back into your radio. Replug it in and snap the bottom back on your radio. Plug back in and it will now light up your radio.
The whole procedure should not take more than 15 minutes and all you need is a 7mm socket and a flat screw driver.

If you are more daring you can also buy a cheap am/ fm only radio with a light and replace th circuit board of the back of that one to the circuit board on your radio and use your own front face again. It willl light up and all your items will function regardless of whether the doner board had cd or not. Time on this is 3o minutes and you need a small wrench to remove the screws in the board.

Good luck. I replace about 10 on these each week so the wreckers in my locations no longer have many low end radios avalialbe either. This is the lowest cost way on fixing this issue.

Light out on toyota Sienna radio

FIXED MINE! My 2000 Sienna XLE had the same problem with the lights not working. They would flicker on once in a while. I took off the face plate, cleaned the radio with a "can of air" to remove any dust, put electrical grease on the face plate contacts and the plugs on the back of the radio. Reassembled and the lights worked better, but dim and flickered off a bit. Knocked on it a few times on the side to get those contacts to work better and it is now working. My guess is the contacts on the faceplate were not making good contact. If I had to do it again, I would pull on and off the face plate a few times after installing the electrical grease to help loosen up any corrosion for a better connection. That would probably eliminate the need to beat on the side of the radio after reassembling. This fixed mine. Hope it works for you.
