SOURCE: Cigarette lighter fuse location on Ford Escort ZX2 2002

I had exactly same problem. I could not use my GPS or charge my cell phone.
In front of the driver sit, there are actually 2 fuse boxes. You probably found the first one. A second one is located above well hidden. Once you find it, you'll find the fuse you are looking for.

Were is the cigarette lighter fuse on my polo vivo 2010

Its in the main dash fuse box but may be covered by another fuse serving other things. Look in the drivers handbook. The only online picture I could find for the polo showed it as fuse 41 rated at 15 amps.

My cigarette lighters do not work to charge my cell phone? could this be a fuse problem? If so, which fuse is it?

Yes, could be cigarette lighter fuse blowed. Check fuse no.# 42 - F42 (20A) = cigarette lighter, 12 Volts. See picture below:

My cigarette lighter is jammed, have been told it could be the fuse but I cant find my manual. Any idea which fuse would need replacing in a W reg VW Polo?

If you mean that the lighter will not pull out of the socket then it's nothing whatever to do with the fuse and everything to do with a bent bit of metal.

All you can do is to use a bit of intelligent brute force: don't just try and yank it out, try pushing it in and twisting slightly before pulling it out.

Ultimately, you may just have to yank it out and can expect to have to replace either the lighter or the lighter and socket afterwards.
