SOURCE: 1997 mercury villager, engine removal?

I have'nt done one myself but a friend tells me it is way easier to come out the bottom of the van.Just undo struts at the top ,remove brake lines undo motor mounts and remove framework bolt and take it out as a unit.Getting it up through to mo looks impossible.

SOURCE: 2000 Mercury Villager van has broken motor mount

No. Get a quote somewhere else. That is no where near 2k worth of work. There may be $400.00 in parts there. But I doubt it. Maybe another $500.00 in labor.

99 mercury cougar I lost my key. I replaced my steering column with another steering column with key. My car wont start so what do I do next.

The problem is with the factory security system; you'll need to reset the security code matching between the security system and the code on your keys that came with the new column.

How do I hotwire the ignition have no key for 97 mercury mountainer v-8 engine.

I suggest you call a locksmith and have a key made. Even if you were to hotwire the car, you still have to contend with the steering wheel lock.

How to install ignition switch 1989 ford escort

you may want to hear this, but you may need to call a locksmith, for example:i broke my key off in my 94 Bronco at my work and needed to drive home,i had tools, but without the key you can not turn the switch to ACC in order to push the release button on the bottom of the switch(done with a paper clip),so i had to hammer on the switch until it was broken enough to turn it,the risk is damage to the column where the switch wont stay in place or will not function properly. Then a new steering column will have to be installed, fortunately i didnt damage my column.A locksmith is usually about $100.00,its sad because it only takes them about 2 minutes to remove the switch.

Gear Shift lever loose

There are two torx bolts that hold the shifter to the column. You can see them with the lower column cover off (must first remove the ignition cylinder). If the lever is loose, these bolts are the first thing that I would check. That the identical problem on my villager.
