Where is the oil sensor on a 2001 buick lesabre

The Oil Level Sensor is located in the side of the oil pan on the side closest to the radiator. The Oil Pressure Sending Unit is located in the engine block near the oil filter.

I have a 2004 buick lasabre and it has a low oil pressure reading.what should it read.it has 120.000 miles

I suggest that you replace the oil pressure sensor. Change oil 10w30 and use a delco pf 47 filter or wix. Never use a fram filter. Mine has 301,000 miles on it.

Oil pressure light comes on and it chimes momentarily when start up eventually goes out could this be a sensor and if so where is it located .

Try this is you have just changed your oil. This is a oil light reset.

Turn the ignition to ON.

Press the GAGE INFO button on the driver information center (DIG) switch to view OIL LIFE INDEX.

Press and hold the RESET button on the DIG until the display reads OIL LIFE INDEX 100% NORMAL.

The engine oil life monitor is now reset..

Turn the ignition OFF.

We are trying to find out if my 1997 buick le sabre has an oil pan sensor or oil pressure sensor and where it is located at so that we can change out the oil pan

all car well have a oil pressure sensor, the oil pressure sensor is what lets you know, you have good oil pressure, if light comes on low oil pressure, need to turn off engine before major engine damage occurs, the oil pressure switch will be next to the oil filter, screw into the engine block, your car also has a oil pan sensor, called oil level sensor, that one screw into the side of the oil pan, it let you know when your some what low on oil.

I had asked about the check oil light coming on and going off on my 2004 buick lesabre, the person mentioned a sensor in the oil pan. Can this be checked out by finding a dianostic code or does the oil pan...

I know nothing of a sensor in the oil pan. What you need to check is the oil pressure sending unit. The unit will look like this. 2c49e3a.png
Check the connection at the sensor to make sure it is secure before replacing. If you find it is leaking it for sure needs replacing. The unit will be located in a location like this on which is a 1995 Buick. 2a08cb5.png

1993 buick lesabre my oil pump stopped pumping oil in the engine. Where is the oil pump located? do I need to adjust the timing chain?

Oil pumps on these do not go bad. The oil pressure sensor could be bad giving you a false reading. If not the only other thing could be is a clogged up oil pickup screen inside the oil pan. also get a delco pf47 filter

The pressure sending unit is located on the passenger side rear of the engine just above and slightly to the left of the filter and filter housing.
