Question about 2006 Ford Fusion
The wife is on the way to work this morning, running cruise, shuts cruise off, and the "wrench" light comes on, and the car loses power, not ALL power, just SOME power, so I told her to pull over, shut it off, and look at the owners manual to see what that light meant, as I was afraid it meant it lost oil pressure, and I didn't want her to blow it up.
She calls back and says it means Cruise/Throttle/Trasmission. So she starts it back up, and goes on her merry way, the light is now off and doesn't come back on.
The car has 77,000 miles on it. it's a 2006 model I4 auto.
Oh, a few months back, the "Emissions" light came on for a few minutes, but went right back off.
Am I looking at a several thousand dollar repair here?

What you have is an intermittent problem... make sure all the fluids are topped up... and refrain from replacing random things in hopes you hit the right one. it gets expensive. you may want to go to autozone and have them read the codes the next time either light comes on. i believe the computer retains the code for three key cycles.
In the mean time if you can't pull any codes to aid in troubleshooting you will have to wait to find out what it is. a cheap thing to try would be to replace the relay that controls the cruise control... usually in a fuse box located in the engine compartment near the battery.

Get to auto zone or advanced auto or other parts store in your location that will read the codes for free once you have the code then trouble shoot that system
my guess secondarily air pump as that has a high failure rate on fords
and mine did almost the same thing Good Luck
