Question about 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet
Hi,I am having a problem with a humming sound that is emitting from the engine bay when accelerating from 60km/h. It sounds like a bearing problem yet the sound seems to be coming from the engine bay. Please advise on this
COULD BE THE BEARINGS ON ONE OF THE PULLYS ETC, HARD TO SAY WITHOUT HEARING THE NOISE MYSELF. TRY REVING THE ENGINE WHEN CAR IS STOPPED IF YOUR STILL GETTING THE SAME NOISE. THIS MAY SOUND DAFT BUT GET AN OIL FUNNEL AND PUT A PEICE OF GARDEN HOSE ON THE END,PUT THE FUNNEL TO YOUR EAR AND YOU WILL PIN POINT THE NOISE FROM YOUR ENGINE WITH NO PROBLEMS.......CHECK YOUR WHEEL BEARINGS JACK UP CAR AND CHECK FOR EXCESS PLAY
