My low beams work but my high beams wont come on. please help. I live in the country and there are alot of deer and other animaks always crossing the road.TIA

you really need to mention the vehicle make and model , but here goes --if it is a ford product check the light control module as this is where most light problems originate
other makes have the same light control module so check it as well
other than that it could be the light switch
put the lights on low beam and pull the switch handle back to flash the high beams
if they flash the high beam relay is ok --if not it may be the relay
if nothing happens it is most like ly the switch

Hi Beam don't stay on VW Beetle 2002

It's the turn signal switch that is faulty.

New Beetle 2002 Hi-Beam lights only flash, don't stay on, what can I do?

I would test the relay to make sure it is still good and everything there is working like it is supposed to. I would also look at the switch and make sure noting came unplugged and it is still in good working order sometimes new parts are still bad.

One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though

check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse

One highbeam light was very dull like a semi broken wire, so i rewired the bad side to the good side it worked for a couple of flashes to test , high low beam , then no high beam lights at all, are they...

you have a wiring problem, look up cavalier headlight wiring on the internet, there is a harness connector under the battery that sometimes goes bad, or the wires are broken inside the insulation, usually in the front harness, the head lights hi and daytime lights are controlled through the ecm and low beam is on a separate circuit, i have also found problems in the switch or the drl module in the fuse box, any mor questions mail me

Why do both low & high beams go out when you turn on high beams?

Can you flash the main beams?

If you cannot then it is more than likely that the bulbs have blown in the high beams.

When you select high beams in most cars they switch off the low ones.

If the bulbs have blown in the high beams or they are not being supplied via the lighting controls then you will get the condition you described

If you can flash the main beams then it is the lighting control unit which needs checking out

2002 Aztek Service engine light on & high beam indicator flashes

The high beam light flashing means you have a high beam burnt out. It flashes when you put it in gear because your high beams actually double as your daytime running lights, only on a lower power.

Headlight main beam not working

Strange headlamp problems on Saabs can often be attributed to a failing Headlamp relay. Here are a few common situations:
Issue1 - Headlamp switch will work backwards: Turn on the switch and theheadlights go off and turn off the switch and the headlights will goon.
Issue 2 - High beams will disappear. You will have nohighbeams. Be sure to check the headlight bulbs PRIOR to ordering therelay. Remember however that it is possible for both high beams burn out at the same time
Issue3 - High beams will not work only the low beams will.
Issue 4 - A single bulb setting (low or high) on either side will not work and bulb replacement will fix it.
You can sometimesfix these issues by removing the relay, taking off the cover andresoldering the connections on the relay bottom. To perform this repair, go to my illustrated tutorial at customsaab.com.
In some cases youwill have to replace the relay to effect a long term cure. The aftermarket replacement can be had at Eeuroparts.com for about $60.00:
