Reset climate control system after a battery change

After a battery change the climate control system is no longer working the same. After the vehicle is turned off, and turned back on, the fan is off. When turned on, the temperature is reset to 75 degrees, and the fan speed is on low. Prior to the battery change, it maintained the settings prior to the car being shut off.

SOURCE: I have a 2005 murano and recently got a coolant

you will see the heater hoses coming out of the firewall to your engine.. remove them from the engine and backflush them with a water hose, run water through it both ways, until you get a good adequate, constant flow of water. put the hoses back on, start the vehicle with the radiator cap off... let the thermostat open up and and cycle through a couple of times.. by this time the vehicle should be up to operating temperature and blowing heat for you.. make sure the radiator is topped off with fluid, and put cap back on... the engine does not have an issue being pluged, or the vehicle would overheat, if its pluged its in the heater core.. the a/c would work because it doesnt use the coolant of the vehicle to operate.. you can do this yourself for $0.00. and if you need further assistance with it feel free to let me know, or email me at id be happy to help.

Had to change out battery now climate control not working

Climate control need to be reset, turn all functions off and set all switches to CCW position. Disconnect battery for about 10 minutes, reconnect battery and don't touch any controls for several minutes. You may hear the climate control cycling at this time.

Rear Climate control console

The rear ac controls have the snaps built in onto the unit. When they installed the overhead dvd they prolly stuffed the ac controls up in the headliner. You will have to replace entire headliner to reinstall the panel correctly. Be cheaper to repair dvd unit, and reinstall over the hole. The front controls in that car are the master controls anyway, you dont have to have the rear ones to make the rear ac work.

Duel climate control acting up

On most climate control systems you must have the ignition switch in the on position when you put the battery cables back on the battery. Then let the car sit for about 1 minute for reset. Put the neg cable on first then the pos cable on last .This should do it
good luck
