We need an additional pillow type headrest for our leather recliner

My husband is fairly tall, and the head pillow doesn't seem to have enough padding in it for him to get comfortable. Do they make a clip on type of pillow for leather recliners?

If your husband is not comfortable with the normal pillow, then I suggest you to try Goose Down Pillow. I also suffered from this problem but someone suggests me to try this pillow and now I feel comfortable. If you want to see this pillow, then just take a look at the above-mentioned website. On this website, you can also find duvets and all other types of bedding items at an affordable price.

SOURCE: front seat stays in the reclined postion..

The seat position is changed through the use of a cable that runs through a flexible tunnel, under the seat. In one case that I'm aware of, this cable got stuck around a projecting seat spring under the seat. When the seat was reclined and moved backward or forward, the cable caught on the seat spring and the seat had insufficient slack in the cable to release from the reclined position.

SOURCE: Replace lever mechnism to recline seat

O'reily stocks a new handle that is especially made to replace the handle that broke. It attaches to the broken shaft you have sticking out of your seat. This is a common problem.

How to clean leather recliner around the headrest area.

The best and easiest solution to clean leather is Ivory soap. Use a good white cotton cloth with some texture to it. Circle motion..This also lubricates the leather and stops future cracking.

Sorry I think I was meant to type Volvo S60 2.5T 2005. The question was how to adjust headrest for the front passenger seat in this car?

The headrest is not adjustable. It's part of Volvo's safety feature. The seat will recline/pull back and cradle you in case of an accident.

Of course, the downside is that if you don't find it comfortable in the position it's in, you could grow to hate it. Can you lean the seat back a little and raise the bottom cushion a bit to adjust the angle?

How to remove headrests on 2001 volvo s80?

On the earlier 1999 & 2000 model V70s & S70s there are some plastic tabs further down the front backrest (vertically down from each headrest post) that you feel around for and actually snap them with pressure from your thumbs. The way to find them is to poke small dressmaking pins into the leather (leaves a tiny hole) to find the tabs which are perforated at their seams. The measure is around 140mm down from the top of the seat.

My 2005 cadillac escalade recliner wont go back? but the chair will go back in fort..

If it doesn't make any noise when trying to recline, it is probably the motor for that function that is the problem. As far as I know you cannot just replace a single motor in those types of seats and the entire seat would need to be replaced.

2012 Honda Civix EX - Big Problem w/front seat headrests

I had the same problem with mine for the first month I drove it. Already having a herniated disc in my neck didn't help. What I did was unzip the back of the seat cover and insert some foam into the back of the seat. This pushed the front of the seat out enough to keep my head from being pushed forward by the slanted headrest. The headrest is still right behind my head but it is no longer pushed forward painfully. You can't tell that I did anything to the seat from looking at it, but now it's comfortable and I love my Civic.

How do I get the head rest off a 2009 Chev Impala. It is awful it hits me in the top of the head

I agree it's absolutely awful. The NHTSA mandated "better" head support in the event of a rear-end collision, in the absence of automated supports, GM bent the enormous headrest far too forward. I think they may eventually find a class-action suit for the neck strain the unnatural position causes.
To remove them, push the clip in on the side that has one, near at the bottom of the post. The other side will have a pinhole on the inside. Insert a paper-clip or narrow electronics-style screwdriver into that hole, and while depressing the clip on the other side with your finger, pull up and out.
The posts are very long, you may have to recline the seat to pull it out all the way. I replaced mine with a set that I bought off of ebay for a 2005 (which doesn't fit exactly but I was able to bend it enough to work). I then de-skinned my old ones and covered the replacement with the original skin (huge hassle trust me, if you have very strong hands you might try it).
Another solution would be to replace your head-rests with a set of aftermarket adjustable-post DVD-player-screen headrests. You can get a set for

Want a RAV4 but the headrests are terrible!

I moved one of the headrests from the back to the driver's seat. Had to open the legs a little bit but it fit.
Something else I found is that if one adjusts the seat so that it cradles one's body, thus maximizing contact between the body and the seat, and then puts the headrest back on it does not pushes one's head forward. Seems they designed it to be driven as if one was sitting on a recliner.
Although one can drive comfortably in that position, the headrest is massive and blocks the view over one's right shoulder.
