When arming the alarm and immobiliser does it not beep or make some sort of sound and when it is armed is there no indication like a flashing red light that its armed?

Make sure all the doors, Windows and trunk are closed and that no lights stay on inside. If a light does stay on inside the anti-theft may think it's an open door or someone is still inside. Also, if you have a lot of stuff on a seat, the pressure sensor in the seat may tell the anti theft there's still someone inside the car. You should usually get a confirmation of some kind that the anti-theft is active, unless the confirmation was turned off in the vehicle's settings.

We have a 2010 Lexus GX460 and the door ajar light won't go off. The chime stays on and we had to manually turn off the dome light. Even with the engine off the light stays on the dashboard.

The sensor inside the door latch is probably stuck. Try spraying some WD40 or similar into the door latch mechanism. Open and close the door a few times. Give it some time to soak in. If that doesn't work, you will need to have the sensor checked by a pro.

Why does Door ajar light on dash stays on when driver's door is closed

Usually a sign the sensor in the latch has failed. The sensor is telling the body computer the door is still open.

Got a lancer 2000 sedan and my door light stays on after I close the doors. i think its the drivers doo sensor because when I slam it it goes off, but when I drive along the light comes back on. can anyone...

The door ajar sensor that is causing the problem is located on the door latch mechanism inside the door. Yes they do have a sticking issue that is why you have this problem.

Interior lights stay on after doors closed.

Had same problem with my 98 windstar. I checked all the doors to see which door it was and found it was the sliding door. I try w40 did not work i guess sensors were to worn. The only solution was to take sensor from the door and cross the black wires. It works no more light on.

96 Ford Windstar the rear left cabin light and slidding door light stays on all the time and the sensor on the dash show that the doors are open when they are not. What can be causeing this?

Use WD40 spray and spry inside lock,Dirt can cause the sensor to stay open circuit either if it door is open or closed. Spray and open and close door few times, and repeat it till light goe's out.

2003 Explorer door ajar light stay on when all doors are closed

I had this problem on my 2003 explorer and took WD40 and gave the lock mechanism a good dose where it meets the clasp on the door jam. Then open and close the doors a couple of times to get them working. They get gummed up and sometimes have a tendency to stick.
